What calculates itself
Unlike the Word file, this template has working formulas. Enter quantity and price, and the sheet does the rest: line totals, subtotal, VAT rounded to cents, and the grand total.
The VAT rate sits in a separate yellow cell — enter 21%, 12%, 5% or 0% and the whole invoice recalculates. Fields to fill in are blue; black formula cells should not be overwritten.
What Excel cannot do
It will not write the amount in words, number invoices sequentially or remember client details. The invoice generator does all of that and returns a finished PDF; the Word template stays available for printing.
